Our Tribe PNG
Bilums are an iconic and integral part of Papua New Guinean culture. They carry a story of humble beginnings, being handwoven in small villages across Mt Hagen and Goroka to the world community where you see it today.
These bright and boldly coloured bilums are unique and handwoven from wool and acrylic yarn and can take several weeks to complete.
The women rely on the income generated by each bilum sale to provide their families with access to healthcare, eduction and food.
